Modern Love
By THE NEW YORK TIMES
On this week’s podcast, the actor Mykelti Williamson reads “For the Boy Who Makes Waves,” about a man who uproots his life so his autistic son can be closer to the ocean.
You can also hear the episode on iTunes and Stitcher.
The 2009 Modern Love essay was written by Joe Blair, who expanded his family’s story in “By the Iowa Sea: A Memoir.”
Mr. Williamson is known for his roles in “Forrest Gump” and “Con Air.” Most recently, he appeared in the film adaptation of August Wilson’s “Fences.” He is on Twitter.
(By the way, consider spending Valentine’s Day in Boston if you want to see Modern Love Live.)
