Landau-Kleffner Syndrome is a disorder of the brain that is often misdiagnosed and misunderstood. Its symptoms can be quite mild at first, often being mistaken for a child not paying attention or not hearing well. It can even appear to mimic high functioning Asperger’s syndrome. The hallmarks of the condition are the inability to recognize or respond to language coupled with an abnormal brainwave pattern which can only be detected by a medical test called an EEG. 100 words on symptoms
