Calif. to Crack Down on Large, For-Profit Medical Marijuana Outfits

Prosecutors said they would concentrate on large, for-profit operations that use the medical law as a cover for large-scale drug operations, with marijuana being sent across state lines.
The National Academy of Sciences said the cost of any new benefits that must be provided by insurance plans under the health care overhaul should be “offset by savings” elsewhere.
