If you have warts on your feet or anywhere on your body, they are caused by a certain strain of the human papilloma virus or HPV. This virus is very contagious. It is spread by direct close contact with an infected individual. You can also get infected by this virus when walking barefoot in public showers or locker rooms. Warts on feet are a symptom of being infected with HPV and these warts should be treated to help alleviate pain.
